Successful 18th SEEBURG in-house exhibition
on the 21st November 2016
Am 21. November fand unsere 18.
the Atelier- and TS-Series are completed
In the course of a comprehensive upgrade program we have modified many of the A and TS series loudspeakers, some of which have been on the market unchanged for over 10 years, to match the current state of the technological art.
Many models now feature a higher power rating and maximum level in the low-mid range. We have taken care to keep the acuostic characteristics compatible with the older models, and retain the possibility to use the loudspeaker without a controller.
The new versions can be recognised by the denomination "xxx/II" in the article number.
Outside dimensions and flying points have remained unchanged, so existing accessories can still be used. Many of the new models are now available with the option of a honeycomb grille front with an acoustic foam backing.
- A 1 In production since 2001, this Box is now fitted with a new 6.5“ Nd long excursion chassis with a larger 50 mm. voice coil. The high frequency range is now generated by a high powered 28 mm. driver with a newly developed wave guide. The result is improved directivity and higher acoustic precision. Available from September 2016 -> link
- A 2 The use of a pair of new 6.5“ Nd long excursion chassis with 50 mm. voice coils has increased the available power in the low-mid range and the overall power rating of the system. -> link
- A 3 The newly designed cabinet on this system provides greatly improved audio quality and
hi mid characteristics. The 500 W AES power capacity is achieved through the use of twin
8" Nd Chassis with 64 mm. voice coils. The 1" rotatable horn is the same unit as is used in the TMS 8. -> link
- A 6 This model has long been a well loved classic in the Seeburg range. Therefore we have restricted the changes to fitting a more powerful 12" chassis with a 76 mm. voice coil. The crossover has been retained from the older model. -> link
- A 8 The new 15" chassis with 76 mm. voice coil in this full range system provides a substantially higher power capacity and improved dynamic charateristics. -> link
- A 8 Sub is no longer available, as the TSM sub provides a more than adequate successor.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- TSNano The new 6.5" long excursion Nd chassis provides markedly better low mid characteristics and improved dynamics. The crossover has been retained from the previous model. -> link
- TSM 10 The improved 10" Nd chassis now has a 76 mm. voice coil. The crossover has been retained from the previous model. -> link
- Available since 1999, the TSMini has been taken out of production. Either the TSNano or the TSM 8 is a worthy successor.
- The TSMini Sub, also available since 1999, has likewise been taken out of production. The great success of the G Sub 1201 makes this decision long overdue.
- TSE infra has been taken out of production. The clear trend is towards smaller systems which allow directional bass characteristics through positioning and delays.
Our presence at the prolight+sound 2016 in Frankfurt was a resounding success. Many of our clients came to see the new systems first hand, to receive advice and to exchange experiences.
How much life one can instill in a good loudspeaker was capably demonstrated by Marian Hoffmann and Martin Pollock from the band "Die Guten" from Rostock. During the stand party every evening, they provided hand made music from a rich pallette of genres
sufficient to rouse the most blase of audio professionals, thereby lifting the occasion to a level that was over and above the expected.
New products presented ath the prolight+sound included:
Next Generation. Galeo S / Galeo T
The "next generation" of the Galeo line arrays bring a new level of transparence, depth and neutral response, particularly in the high frequency range. The innovative integrated flying hardware with self locking curving positions and very well thought out "Snap & Fly" connectors make for a decisive improvement in ease of installation.
Whilst the compacter 2 x 6.5” / 1.4” Galeo S system is tailored to smaller and middle sized venues, the two additional 12" drivers in the Galeo T provide significantly more volume in the lower mids. Both systems can be fitted alternately with 70° or 100° horns. Flyable subs with a single 15" driver are available for use with the Galeo S, and a larger unit with a 21" driver is available to suit the Galeo T.

Loudspeaker Management Controller HDLM 8
The loudspeaker management controller SEEBURG HDLM 8 has received a completely newly developed processor unit with a total of four Gigabit Ethernet ports, and can now be expanded with a DANTE module. The applications and signal processor applies state of the art logic (FPGA) of the seventh generation in combination with DDR3 RAM technology.
In addition to delay times in the kilometre range and 64 bit processing, the HDLM 8 is now equipped for linear phase FIR filters, AVB and AES 67. With four analogue and two stereo AES/EBU inputs and eight analogue outputs, and an analogue-to-analogue signal to noise ratio of 120 dB., the HDLM 8 remains a comprehensively equipped and future oriented loudspeaker controller.
The colour display, web interface, tablet app with RTA (real time analyser) and WiFI option provide the user with a simple to use and nonetheless powerful tool for any sound reinforcement situation.
Galeo S / Galeo T
Following the first Roadshows and live tests, the professional audio world is abuzz with news of the "next Generation" Galeo line arrays. The positive reactions draw attention to the transparence, the depth and the neutral response, particularly in the high frequencies, of the new range.
The flying system with the self locking curving positions and very well thought out "Snap & Fly" connectors has also drawn much praise.
Whilst the compacter 2 x 6.5” / 1.4” Galeo S system is tailored to smaller and middle sized
venues, the two additional 12" drivers in the Galeo T provide significantly more volume in the lower mids. Both systems can be fitted alternately with 70° or 100° horns. Galeo S / Galeo T
. . . on Tour
The first Galeo S and Galeo T Roadshow series allowed the many interested Geusts to experience the performance and quality of the new SEEBURG line arrays first hand. The simple setup and transparent sound were especially highly praised.
The tour started in Cologne and continued through Osnabrück, Hamburg and Rostock to Oschatz.
Further tour dates are being planned.
New DPLM Platform for all dp models
Lower noise floor, more dynamic range
and increased efficiency with the new generation of our DSP Amplifier modules.
The wide range power supply and transformer simulating electronic balancing make hums and buzzes caused by poor quality mains power a thing of the past. The main features have been
